Director's Message

As a golfer with more passion than skill, I know that I will never tee it up with Tiger at The Masters. But I can take part in something even more important - a tournament where a community comes together in a very important battle.

I was 6 years old when I first lost a family member to cancer. Since then I have seen my mother, mother-in-law, aunts, uncles and friends fall to this same disease. Then at age 44 I became a cancer patient myself. If it hadn’t been for the great strides made in cancer research over the years, my own story might have ended quite differently.

So now it is time to help those people that help others. Your participation in this tournament, as a player , donor, or sponsor, will help the American Cancer Society fund a variety of initiatives that will end up saving lives. Please join me and lets make Tee Up for Life Colorado Springs 2009 an event we can all be proud of.
